Getting sponsored from paint company's.

I was righting this e-mail to see if any of you are sponsored by any paint company's. My team is sponsored by Redz and we were wanting to start to play 3-4 times a week, although the cost of paint is way to incredible. Right now our local pro-shop might be sponsoring us, but if that includes paint, I don't know.
So which companies have you guys been sponsored by? Which companies do you think are easiest to get sponsored by.

Thank you all very much, Tom Baker

Also keep in mind this is only paint companies that i care about.

Yeah, paint companies arent going to sponsor local teams the way you want it.

The most you are going to get is paint at wholesale from a local store.

Want to know the best way to get "sponsored"?

Get a teammates parent that has a buisness license to order a half skid of paint from a paintball company. Bam. $20 cases

I haven't, but I know people who have. It's really the best way to go unless you have a good paint deal.

Thanks for the reply back, so did they order from a local pro shop or did the order it from the company. Also if it was from a pro shop, the shop would be able to mark the price pretty much at what they want wouldnt they, and i realize it would be less due to buying in Bulk. Also how many cases are in a half pallet.

Thanks for all the responces tom

No, you apply for a dealer license straight from a paint company.

http://www.*****************.com/html/becomedealer.asp

Thats an idea of what your looking for, but the minimum starting order from NPS is like over $2000, so look for other places.

My best friend/teammate owns a field/store and gets his paint straight from PMI I think.

And a skid is like 108 cases, half could be 54, but you can buy paint at like 10 and 20 cases at a time. Thats waht we do, just keep ordering 20 cases at a time.

Yea i think i might hit up my pro shop and see what kind of deals we can get by ordering 20 cases. B/c in 2-3 weeks that paint will still be decent and we will have shot it all up by then.

you could also purchase 1/2 a skid from your local store/field and ask for some sort of discount for such a large purchase(it wouldnt be a physical skid, but they would deduct a case from your balance of 54 everytime you took one). I know a few people that have done that and gotten wholesale on paint(they bought it from PBL-NY though, so a store thats not also a distributer probably wouldnt give wholesale).

it wouldnt be as cheap as buying it yourself but would be easier in terms of storage and stuff

What exactly is a business license? When I was on the NPS I saw that NPS has a location near me. Would it be at all possible to get a half skid from them even though I'm not a dealer?

also remember that when searching for sponsors don't just hit up paintball companies. Companies like your father's business and other local companies will often sponsor you w/ an allowance sponsorship where they give you x dollars to use for team paint and tournament entry fees at the cost of displaying their logo on your jersey and banners.

good luck, i'm going through the same thing w/ my team

something to consider if you are not able to use up your half skid of paint before it goes bad.

Sell it. Sell it to other players or teams at a profit.

Yea that is an excellent idea, i think this sat. when my team has a meeting we might look at some local places to see if we can maybe get some money.

Yea boobide also we kind of do that right now too, but if we got say a case for 20 bucks we could make a very good profit.

Thank you all for the responces and keep them coming.
