GRRR... paintball in the media...
OK so today i was sitting in biology, not doing my work, like always, and the girl i like starts like walking her pencil like a trigger. Well i was like wow, you got fast fingers, you could shoot a paintball gun really fast. And her and her best friend were like "like in that movie! "the finger roll" " and then they just laughed, damn do i love her but **** i wanted to yell at her just for calling it that... i'm tired of people not knowing jack **** about paintball, i swear that its getting worse... last week i had someone tell me that they had a sniper rifle paintball gun, this week the "finger roll" damn... this is annoying...  What are your guys' oppinions' on all this new paintball stuff in the media?

there is a paintball media forum 
you cant expect people to know about paintball, honestly. you're overreacting. Paintball is not a very popular sport, and you really cant expect anybody to know anything about it. Get over it  |

Yeah it is! not speedball, but like everyone i know at least plays woodsball... sorry about posting in the wrong forum though...

It just shows how paintball is becoming more popular. And this type of stuff is common with any sports/hobbies, you always have the posers/barneys/kooks/noobs/idiots that are new to the sport that dont know much and try to act like they do. Basicaly you just gotta tell them to shut up the ***** up because they are dumb or just ignore them and just know that you could smoke um.
And as for the girls that were quoting the movie, WTF!!! use that as an easy way to start talking to her. and dont get mad at her! you sound like a tight ass. chill out dude, its just paintball

anyone see the previews for "my name is Ed?" it's got a guy shooting 2 markers(they look like pro-carbines) at a guy with no mask and no protective gear..it's shamefull

I noticed that part and thought the exact same thing! It's not a good image to have a teen kid shooting a 40-something guy who isn't wearing anything protective... but it was funny!

Neither do i... but rather "Its not called the ****ing 'finger roll', Its called walking the trigger! Now PLEASE let us have vigourous sex for 4 days and nights and i wont yell at you!" - refering to the girl that is
But yeah, it realy is starting to get annoying, i can see some hotties not knowing something about paintball but when a guy trys to tell me that i'm wrong when i say that you cant "snipe" in paintball, it makes me sad...

Man...
I feel your frustration but in this case it is unwarranted.
I would just smile, make eye contact and say "its actually called walking the trigger" and boom, I have now started a conversation with a chick I am interested in. How can you be mad about that?

Paintball is a popular sport, alot of people play it I think its a great game because you can play if for years and years if u have the money. Kinda like Softball or and rec sports people can play from youth to adult age, not exacly like football where you play youth to 30 and your done if that.
Its a great sport for everyone to pick up but it will never be as popular as other sports are like football, baseball, basketball basicly becuase its not a spectator sport which funds everything... Spectators Or fans keep sports spinning in Media, Proffesional Leauges and other stuff related to popularity.
Unless ESPN can get good reviews on broadcasting Paintball tournaments on TV...Paintball will never be a popular sport like others because its not a spectator sport. |

theres a video on darkside that has a guy shooting his little brother while he's on a trampoline, thats just tacky and most likely illegal, the kid didnt have a mask, wasnt aware he was being shot at, and the kid got lit up and started crying, its a shame that paintball gets a bad name from a few dumbasses like that, i walk my pencil all the damn time, i have nothing better to do with my life
so i get the tip of the pencil right by the desk and walk it like that, hearing the tapping on the pencil to the desk, its very nice, like a quiet solenoid really
