Ok so I started playing paintball a little awhile ago and my dad does not know jack **** about it. I want to get a new gun and I have like no money because I'm 14 and getting money is hard. He says that $100 is a lot of money for a gun.

I wish he would do a little information on paintball guns so he could understand that, that is a tiny amount of money for a paintball gun, and everytime I explain it to him he just gets mad about it and he won't shutup.

Do any of you have that same thing happend?

well my dad was like that at first then i told him to go on the nation and find me a gun that looked good and i could get for 100 that is when he found out how exspensive paintball is

Luckfully I never really had to go through that because my first gun I got was a birthday present so i lucked out, but im sure that my mom would of flipped. Just show your dad different guns and their prices and explain it to him. Do not get mad towards him or act like a well teenager haha....yeah just help him through it to. You can always do chores, and if you do more chores then do more for some extra mulla.

Sack up, and get a job.

And dont give me the 'Im to young' crap. Mow lawns, wash cars, w/e you can. Offer to do odd jobs. I worked all summer mowing lawns by myself for a realty company to get my 1st gun. I have worked/payed for everything myself, and so have 90% of people on this forum. You prolly wont get much sympathy on that part.

But-I do understand. My rents were so pissed when I got my karnivor. Its like..."You spent a grand on WHAT?" But, as long as its your own cash, they can complain as much as they want.

well get a used one. you can find some good imagines for like 75 bucks or less. ive seen tippys go for 40. and do what rb said.

Explain why it is out of the question? Always deal with someone that has reputable feedback, and so on n so forth...

its prolly out of the question cuz his parents dont trus people on the internet, and judging by this incident, arent going to budge on the subject..try going to fields and see if anyone is selling one?

Because I am going to the proshop that I play at and getting the gun and that is the time my dad can take me due to work. And the only time he will have that money.

i like it that my dad will give me money to play and such, he'll pay for paint occasionally but he buys me stuff, he just recently bought me pants and is buying me gloves, he has a pretty good grasp on the price so he gave me 50 dollars for pants with out shipping and 30 for gloves, i ended up getting empire reacts and am going to get redz dimension gloves, its nice that he helps out, he told me that if i'm going to play, i'm going to play safe, he says pants are like a football players pants, padded where they need to be to reduce injury and increase effincey on the field.

that raises some questions doesnt it.......another thing i dont like, all that christian paintball association stuff, i dont mind it, but.....if i wanna swear at a field i will..all the fields around here are that jesusy kind of field that wont let you swear......

you really have to explain to your father just how complex this gear is. I remember when i bought my $50 pack. When i finally showed it to him and all that it can do (elastic to push out pods, extra loops that fold in, straps to pull it close) he finally understood that you get what you pay for.

I'm a christian, I swear occasionally. Its not a "jesusy" field, its a family oriented field that dosn't let you loudly. Just say it to yourself and your golden. Dont typecast dawg.
