Well, today someone told me that they did not consider paintball a real sport. It pretty much ticked me off because this guy plays football and thinks that he is all that.

definately a sport. the people that say it isnt obviously havent played it, or they just suck at it and havent ACTUALLY played it enough to give it a chance. but yeah, i know a lot of people who dont think its a sport. i say, if people actually consider baseball a sport, than paintball has to be a sport. i mean, come on.

is this even a question? YES its a sport. if you're going to have cheerleading and nascar be sports, paintball sure as hell is one!

This comes not from comparison to other sports we wouldn't deem worth of the terminology... like cheerleading or nascar.

It comes from ther fact that it involves rules and regulations and significant physical exertion. We run, we jump, we dive, we slide, we roll, we think on our feet and communicate with teammates...

teammates. Theres a funny word. Often used to describe a cooperating participant on your side of a competitive event.

Paintball is a sport. Speedball is a sport. Woodsball is a sport. Paintball is a sport.

Definately a sport. I don't know about you guys but after my games I find myself breathin hard sometimes a bit sweaty, yeah, speedball games last like 3 minutes tops. I'm not overweight eitehr, I weigh 140 and am 16. It's intense and makes you work. There are a set of rules and restrictions that are used and followed. Plus, it's on ESPN lol. PAINTBALL IS A SPORT!!!!

Tournament paintball is a sport.

Recball (even rec-speedball) is just a hobby.

I was talking to the kid, and I said that it os on ESPN, it is a sport. Then he said that golf was on ESPN. He does not consider swimming, golf, paintball, poker, or any of these sports sports. (not sure were the ' goes in that). But yea, maybe he will learn soon.

Yeah, he has never actually played before. Now that I think about it, the only sports he considers sports, are ones that he has played or play.

golf is more of a sport than baseball (and ive played both, baseball i quit cuz i got bored), cheerleading, et cetera. if you can call the latter two sports, you can call golf a sport. same thing with paintball. and i think woodsball is a sport too, as well as rec speedball, no doubt about it in my mind. first time i paintballed, i went in the woods. i came back exhausted, sweaty, sore..... i dont see why some ppl dont consider woods a sport (perhaps the way people they play with play..? i dunno).
