just get a wrench and twist to loosen. they won't use strong locktite so you can do it by hand.

Trust me, they locktite it on there good.

Just take a lighter and heat up the area around the threads for a good 3 mins, and then get another person to hold the bill, while you twist it off.

Presto.

They're talking about the macroline fitting, not the macroline hose.

Three minutes is way too long, there's an o-ring or two in the fittings that could get damaged if you heat it up that much. I've never had to heat anything up to get it off, you just need the right tool to apply enough torque...

Screw the duckbill back on the ion. Take a wrench and unscrew it... Voila.

Do you have any idea what your talking about? Its only on there with a little bit of a sealant applied from the factory. No loctite. You don't need a lighter. You put a 7/16" wrench on it, and take it off.

Not entirely accurate there...

Sometimes they do come with the devilish red goo from hell on there. The problem is not everyone does it, and it's hit or miss. Before you flame people, take that into consideration please.

If it is loc tite, then 10-20 seconds should be more then enough heat to foul it. Otherwise just keep wrenching. It will likely be hard at first, but once you break it loose it will ease up.
