Need a few tips if ya can help out!?

Hey all!

I am the new owner of a SP8 Ion, tested it out and for as little as i tested it out im pretty impressed.

Now what im wondering is, the dwell time and Rate of Fire settings you can change on the marker. I dont even have a clue what the dwell time is? If anyone has any tips on how to tweak the gun out (little more speed and accuracy) by playing with these settings i would appreciate any tips, info, anything!

Also about this marker. While i was testing it once and awhile the sp8 would switch into the mode where the vision is turned off. All i would do is shoot a few rounds then next thing you know, nothing is happening. No paint flying, no air being shot off. any ideas with that? usually happens when lots of paint is being used i.e Full-auto, rebound, burst

Sorry for the long speech, but one last thing. If i have the gun shooting quite fast say with rebound or full auto, it jams alot more then anyone would like, and for me to fix it i have tip the gun upside down, any ideas for this one. Ive already stripped the gun down and sanded the inside of the feed tube incase of any burs or what not.

Sorry for this essay of a question eheh

I will be very grateful with any help offered or tips!

thanks for reading!

The dwell is how long the solenoid is held open, and therefore, how much air is used to propel the ball. Tweaking the board settings won't give better acuracy, just a little more speed and better efficiency(sp). Any info you need for the board settings is in the manual, or you can check out the ultimate smart parts sticky in the sp forum. Lots of usefull information in there.

If you are NOT shooting paint or air all of a sudden, then that is because the vision is ON. There is no paint in the breech, therefore the marker won't cycle. This is to prevent chopping. IF the vision was turned off, you would probably be chopping. From what I read, it sounds like you are using a gravity feed hopper (having to tilt the gun upside down). That isn't going to cut it. Gravity feed will not give you the speed or consistency you need. You are going to need a halo. You can pick them up used on here or ebay for about $80 or less. New for around $110.

Oh no, im not using a gravity fed hopper

VL revo tripod is what im using...

Its just that a ball jams in there, like i will shoot and air will come through but no paint, and the light will say theres paint in the barrel and rdy to fire, but it doesnt..

so what i do is tip it upside down so i can get the jammed ball out then let it run again
