if everyone likes ion's better, then why are impulses more money, what goes into the making of them that makes them more

ions= new impulse

impulses were around WAYYYY before the ion was even introduced. Ions are basically the killer of the impulse. The Impulse was introduced as a mid-high level e-marker but now the Ion has been introduced and can be produced much cheaper because of it's plastic. The ion is also designed as a mid-high level e-marker but is much better than the impulse due to weight and size. It's also better for the company because they can produce a near same product for much less and can sell tons more because they can price it lower than the impulse.

The impulse is around now but just don't plan on it being around for much longer

i thought the thread was gonna get lost, so do you think smart parts is gonna come out with a gun between the nerve and the ion after the impulse dies out?

their would hardly be a point, sure you could get a better gun than the ion stock but with a few ups on the ion it could match if not beat it.

well their gonna throw out some guns and "improvements" on current guns Just don't be expecting LINES of equipment.

I'm guessing SP will redesign the shocker (closed bolt rumors), and possibly re name it, just to get away from people thinking its still a 03 gun.

Impulses are old and have the metal bodies as oposed to the ion cheap bodies. Impulses are not made anymore but sp still has many stored up. There is another marker coming out also buy sp that is suppose to be equivlent to the shocker if not better. This is all i really know but this is true info coming from a sp employer that i know real well who also happens to spnsor our teams and let out a few untold secrets.

I just know what I read on the nation. SP patented a closed bolt design in 03, but couldn't get it fast enough. There are rumors of the 07 shocker being closed bolt, although its not likely.

That is nothing like closed bolt. Closed bolt is when the bolt seals the breach in the resting position.Sft is when the bolt is sealed when the gun is firing(Yes just like every other gun). Sft is just hype to make kids buy the gun.

No it's not... it's just a lot more complicated, and the supposed improvement it offers is so minimal, the next shocker or whatever they're planning is most definately not gonna be closed bolt.

If it's just a re-design of the shocker, than they'll probably put in BB eyes, make it lighter/smaller somehow, and prolly re-design the bolt system to make it simpler and more efficient... maybe they'll steal/buy the quest design even

True... it makes me want to throttle people when they say they're shocker/DM is closed bolt.
