NME LE trouble....HELP!!!

Okay, a while ago, my brother told me that his NME LE messed up. He said that the gun shot about 3 balls, then "plopped" about 3-4 times (every time he hit the trigger). He tilted the barrel down, and 3-4 balls fell out. He said the gun never shot right after that. We just took them apart today and greased everything except the poppet because I didn't have a wrench small enough for the barb. I put air on the gun, and heard air leaking from the trigger frame. The LPR gauge read 0. I opened the trigger guard and checked all the air hoses. They looked fine. I took the solenoid out and noticed that air was leaking out from the holes in the bottom (around where the air goes in). I covered the holes with my fingers and the bolt cocked and I heard it seal. The air stopped leaking. I looked at the LPR: 80 psi. I shot the gun and it cycled and shot air fine. I tried to shoot again..."plop". I looked at the LPR. It was slowly building pressure. It hit 80 and stopped. I pulled the trigger again: good cycle and a shot. I pulled the trigger one more time: a significantly LOUD shot. I looked at the LPR...it built pressure past 120 psi. I pulled the trigger to lower the pressure while I turned the LPR out. I eventually stabilized it at 80. I pulled the trigger 2x: pop..."plop". The pressure didn't build. I turned the LPR in and the pressure built to 80 again. I pulled the trigger 2x again: pop..."plop". WTF? The pressure built back up to 80 slowly. Just for the hell of it, I pulled the trigger a ****load of times. The pressure dropped and dropped. It eventually fell to 0 and the leak happened again. I can't figure out what's up... Is the solenoid fried? Is something in the HPR/LPR stuck? I need your help guys. I really don't want to tell my mom that she needs to order a new $125 solenoid. She'll flip. I'm tempted to take it to a shop (about 30 mins away) and have them fix it, but I'm afraid they would charge an arm and a leg and would still tell me that I need a new solenoid. HELP!!!!

If the leak is coming from the bottom of the 'noid, it's not a reg problem.

Take it to the field would be the best option. They shouldn't charge you anything (at the most like $10) to take a look at it.

You may have a blown 'noid...

If it takes them more than an hour with qualified techs to figure out what the problem is, then you need new techs.

So once you touched the hoses on the bottom of the noid, and the leak went away did it come back at any point besides when you pulled the trigger a bunch of times?

Sounds like your LPR is f*ed up and you need new hoses and/or nipples on your solenoid. I'm just guessing though, someone who knows timmies/NME's would know better.

I the hoses didn't stop it. I covered the holes w/ my fingers and the gun cocked and pressure built up....

I'm probably gonna take it to a shop tomorrow. My bro has already told me that he's fed up w/ this problem. He wants to sell it, but after paying $600 for it, it will be hard for my parents to accept this.

Eh?

Did the leak go away or not? You're not making this very clear.

NVM guys. I'm gonna take it to a shop, and if the noid is blown, then so be it. We'll buy another one. I found a place that sells them for $60.
