I just got my 06 proto pants and they fit well. Question is, what should I wear between them and my skin? Yes, I wear white tidies (so shut up about it), but I don't think they will be the best thing to wear. Should I buy some underarmor boxer-things? I have some time later tonight to go buy some. What about that imitation stuff at Wally World? Is it the same crud?

Also, what should I wear under the jersey? Cotton t-shirt?

ya a cotton t-shirt would be fine, i personally wouldnt wear anything under it and bring a t-shirt for when im done playing but thats just me

i wear a cut off t-shirt under the jersey and soccer shorts under my pants.

the imitation stuff at walylworld will work just fine. besides buying under-armor is paying for a brand name

What are soccer shorts? Also, thanks for the tip on the UA. I thought the $40 price tag was mostly for the brand.

athletic shorts, and i usually wear 2-3 shirts under my jersey. might get hott but its worth it for the bounces.

soccer shorts are really short shirts and arent' nearly as thick as basketball shorts. I wear them cuz they're less material when it's so hot out. (notice how soccer players shorts are above thier knees, it's so they can run w/o having to worry about the shorts rubbing on thier knees.)

you can also buy knockoff brand soccer shorts at wally world last i checked. but i got mine at dunhams i think.

boxers. i've never seen teh reason to wear sliding shorts because i have really thick JT pants.

Under my jersey, I wear a T-shirt or nothing if it's just practice, if it's a tournament I wear a long sleeve shirt; I used to always wear elbow pads but I recently lost them... Under my pants I wear nothing but knee pads.

oo yeah. definately pick up some knee pads iv'e found (and many players will tell you this..even a fems player told me this..she works at the place i play. they're also selling a 1of 1 ollie lang jersey given to one of the reffs by ollie himself...sorry that was a bit winded, basically my field has MAJOR connections) volleyball knee pads work just as well and they're definately cheaper.

Volleyball kneepads are kinda puffy, but whatever. I wear boxers, then kneebraces (iffy knees) then sliding shorts, then boot socks, then knee pads, then cleats. I usually don't wear a jersey, too hot, but when I do I just wear a tee under it. Either way I wear elbow pads, especially since I'm usually in short sleeves and playing front.

Thanks for everything. I went out and bought Athletic Works (Walmart brand) nylon compression shirt and shorts. I tried them with the jersey and pants. They feel great. I like the "slick" feeling they give you around the thighs/pits. It's good. I appreciate your input guys!

boxers and proto knee pads under pants and an under armor under jersey, or if its hot i just play in the under armor.

nothing under my pants (cept underware sillys) otherwise it would get way too hot.

typically a t-shirt under the jersey. Again, it gets really hot and is usually very humid where i play.

Under my jersey I wear a 2XL shirt I have lieing around. It's so nasty and stained with paint from all the time's I've used it. I also wear elbow pads. It's good for bounce. Under my pants I wear pajama pants and knee pads. Sometimes if it's hot, just kneepads.

for me, volleyball knee pads, under armor type stuff (reebok, so much cheeper its funny), and i would go with boxers. more comfy. and its pretty hot, so i dont think anything else is necessary, maybe sliding shorts if you want.
