I was watching TV the other night and saw Paintball on TV (more like oldschool speedball). I also passed Three Rivers Paintball in Pittsburgh and noticed they were having a tourney this past weekend.

I have retired from Paintball (may make a comeback) but used to play in the early 90's. My first gun was the Line SI Bushmaster (best pump ever made) and then graduated to a PMIII and then to the original AGD Minimag.

What ever happed to playing Paintball in the woods with 5 & 10 man teams??

Does that still exist, or is it mainly Speedball??

There isn't any nation leagues for woodsball, but you can still get together and play with a bunch of friends. Just stay safe, and have fun.

paintball in the woods doesn't happen much anymore. The tourneyment scene has all turned towards inflatable bunkers. They're shooting markers that are capped at 15 balls per second, yet are capable of 20+ BPS. Paint prices have dropped quite a bit in 10 years.

10 man teams are a thing of the past now. it's all 5 and 3 man teams on smaller fields than a 10 man field.

If you still want to play woodsball, there's probally woodsball fields around if you look hard enough. or if you know somebody with a woods, get buddies together and go paintball.
