The ion is the gun that i am getting but i have some questions. There are a lot of upgrades for it and i have most of em already but i can unlimidly change the look of the ion but thats only the look. Is there a way to change how loud it is and how it shoots. I know there are boards, i have new ball detents, what else runs the gun inside of it that'll make it o lets say as good as a shocker. I dont have a lot of money right now thats y im getting the ion but i will slowly be getting money in the next year. I dont wanna wait another year to get a better gun cause thats too long to wait.

Don't get the idea you can upgrade the Ion to anything like High Ends. That's why people hate Ion owners.

As for the noise issue, the barrel you have is certianly a factor. I could be wrong, but I believe the more porthing, the more quiet.

y wouldnt u be able to upgrade an ion to a higher end gun? i have $500 in mine so far it keeps up with egos. plus its mainly the player i guess.

And it just doesn't. I'm sorry, but player-wise you may, but in my mind, your Ion cannot compare to any Ego.

If you have 500 dollars put towards an ion. And you're buying the ion new for 200. That's 700 dollars. I got an Ego and an upgraded Dye Ultralite barrel for 680.

Well, that's not really a way to become popular with the paintball crowd. This is why there is a general dislike for Ion owners.

I have an Angel G7 right now. It wasn't THAT much money, but I am not stuck up. I used to own an Ion, until I was short on cash and needed to sell it.

If you don't accept this, then don't bother coming online for such questions. Your Ion will not become equal to an Ego. It just won't. There's not enough upgrades to make it like an Ego or a DM 5/6, or anything in that range. And that's just comparing this upgraded Ion to a stock high end. An upped high end is lots better.

alright i guess i have come to terms with things now lol sry it took so long. Well right now its all i have money for and i am just starting tournaments so it'll last for about a year or 2. It'll be a good backup gun once i get the money for a better gun once i get more serious. Should i even bother adding a board, getting new grips and a body? Once i do get more serious do u have any suggestions on the type of gun i should get?

You over reacted to what I said.

I never said the Ion is a bad gun at all, it will do you just fine in tournaments.

It just doesn't and won't compare to an Ego.
