The review is now up on otters customs. And guess what. Its nothing new, nothing revolutionary at all. This is not a tourney level gun, this is not an Ion killer, its just another spyder. The only change in operation is a new valve allowing it to operate at a lower pressure. Asside from that, its still a sear tripping blowback. Thats right bolt up top, striker spring and valve in the bottom, just like all the past spyders. It does have breakbeam eyes and a clamping feedneck, and will operate at 250psi, but its still a spyder. Also, the regulator is grip mounted (eeew, this means the foregrip is nothing more than a gas-thru) and the vertical adaptor, or front block is non standard. Thats right, its not a female asa. If you want to run anything other than the stock regulator/asa and gas-thru combo, you have to replace the front block. Just like on pilots, and several other "high-end" spyders. I'm dissapointed, I thought at the very least we would see some sort of Timmy spinoff. Oh well, one more overhyped non advance (remember the rocking trigger!!) for Kingman.
Copy/pasted from my post in Kingman forum.

Vs3
I disagree. With a Halo B or empire a VS3 can load 25bps. The rocking trigger shoots 30bps and this is sleek and looks hella good. it is a little havy but if deffinetly tournament worthy. if used correctly this gun is better then then an ion and a promaster!!

A spyder being better than a promaster, or even a ion. Huh that will be the day. A spyder is still a blowback, you can't use the rocking trigger in some tourneys, they are loud as hell, hella kick. I mean does the vs3 even have breakbeams? Doubt it. I would rather have a ion over any spyder any day. Plus a ion or a promaster is electropneumatic which means: Blowbacks simply cant compete with electropneumatic guns, blowbacks have kick and crappy consistancy which means theair accuracy can never be as good as that of an electropnuematic. They also cant handle high bps unless you literally waste hundreds of dollars on them, and why spend money upping a blowback when you can just spend the money and get pretty good electropneumatic gun stock?

IMO a promaster is already better than an ion.
Anyway, yeah, it's still a blowback. For that price, some dm4's on pbn are going for 350ish.

i think the idea with the new line of spyders was just that, to eliminate the having to spend hundreds, hence the lower operating pressure and new balanced valve system. it indeed does have breakbeam, and i believe an adjustable feedneck as well. i havent seen any vids of its performance nor shot one for myself obviously, but the new spyders a line of spyders i would definately give a little attention to as an ion competitor.

Looks pretty good except for it is a $330 Spyder. I don't like the fact that it has a rocking trigger eather.

The ion trigger "shoots 30bps" and the promaster trigger "shoots 30bps". But guess what. The ion and promaster shoot "legally in tournaments".
Its not sleek, it has the same ****ty tolerances and annodizing of any other spyder.
Are you saying if this gun isn't used correctly it won't be better than an ion or promaster? Thats retarded, it doesn't matter how the person uses it, that doesn't make the gun better or worse.
Thats great, the feedneck and chamber allow 25 balls in per second. Same with every other gun.
You won't be shooting over 13 with a spyder, especially if you're using Co2, your bolt and ram will freeze and you will get insane shootdown at anywhere above 15 bps. Because kingman makes ****ty regs.
I know of 3 guns that have shot over 25 bps without shootdown. Those would be cyborgs, vikings, and angels.

I'm pretty sure spyders don't have rams.

To add I've shot 11 on a spyder with co2. Nothing froze. Exaggeration?

It's far from a top shelf gun, but at least it isn't just a re-milled Imagine like most of the other new spyders were becoming.
There's a new valve and striker design, and the actual prices are not too insane.
If I had to buy a spyder, the VS2 and 3 would be on the list. Naturally otherwise I would get something else.
