I just recently got back into paintball and I play speedball/barrelground recball.... both indoor. I currently have a Tippmann 98 custom with a 12" system x barrel. I want to upgrade to a better gun but I want it to be Mechanical (dont like that electro stuff). I was looking into cockers or maybe a used automag. Any suggestions would be helpful or any info on a System X Type X cocker or Automags would be awesome. thanks

I would go for a used Automag... they're reliable and good guns.

Or get an '05 Prostock autococker... but you'll have to be very careful with that thing, you dont want to mess up the timing.

Just if I were you I would go with electric. There faster, have a lighter trigger pull, and are capable of different firing modes.

You wont see much diffrence between diffrent mech guns, give in and go electro...

used ion imo. then you need a good hopper and tank.

Piranha EVO, they are cheap, decent speed, and run on Co2. Also, I'm not sure this is a good beginner marker, but they also have the Autococker Trilogy in many different versions. I have never seen or heard anything about them, but an autococker for less than $200 is'nt bad. But I would go with the EVO. Also, for a little more than 200, you could get a GREAT ION pack. Personally my choice, but whatever floats your boat.

i'd go with a mag. tuned right they can be just as fast as any electro that is legal for tourneys.
