well i would like to take this time to say goodbye to my favourite thing in the world. The reason i cannot play anymore is that i have bone cancer and am having my femur replaced with a metal implant, thus ****ing up my life and making it very hard for me to run, and even if i could, i could twist the implant and end up with my entire leg amputated, and i wanna have a leg.

so goodbye paintball.

btw my dad says since i cant play with paintball guns anymore, hes gonna upgrade me to real guns, im taking up hunting.

but shooting while pushing yourself around on a grass field? Damn near impossible if you ask me. Theres a guy at PBA, my local field, nicknamed Stubby, who has one good arm (right) and the left arm is gone from the elbow.

He's a complete beast.

no its an internal implant, the tumor is on the high part of my leg so if i amputated, i still couldnt run, if it was below the knee, i would so amputate. and ill try the wheelchair sumtime, im not gonna sell my stuff, cause me and my friend can still play "light" paintball behind his house by these empty canals, so ill find a way. and i also get to do atv riding, so both at once would be fun.

spend your time getting better at accuracy then you can become a ringer at paintball feilds challenging people to accuracy contests for money, well untill you get kicked out of the feilds. The best part is nobody will beat up a kid in a wheel chair.

Ive played with a guy in a wheel chair once, actually he got stuck in the mud and our new objective became a rescue mission, it was cool, the red team was in force right in front of him, we were giving cover fire, and two of our guys ran up to him, one handed over his gun, and they ran out, pulling him backwards as he dual weilded against the red team.

Very cool.

Sorry to hear what is going on with you.....

But don't look down yet, with the advances that modern medical treatment can provide you may be able to play in slow paced games.

I do know a woman that has a steel rod from her pelvis to her heel and she can still run and play with her children.
