Cold weather play.....
It's been forever since I've played, and I was wondering how bad it is to play in 35-45 degree weather?
I am running Co2, which I know is the worst, but I am just messing around w/ some friends so I don't want to invest in N2. Does the cold weather make paintball unplayable or less enjoyable becuase my gun is going to have all sorts of problems or should I be ok?
Any tips for cold weather play to keep things up and running would be appreciated.

it will just have a little more of a sting, but getting hit on the fingers will be a pain in the butt, other then that it isn't to bad.

The co2 might give you problems. Also, wear gloves.

Is your tank anti-siphoned? That would be a good investment. Don't try to install it yourself, have a real airsmith at your local proshop do it.

We only play in the winter mostly too much things to do for us in the summer. It will hurt when you get hit in the hand or fingers, but other then that is really a good time.
Only problem we have is that you wear so much clothing for the temps, that sometimes we don't know we are hit.

winter play is no different. if a little thicker shell bothers you... thats sad. its still paintball and its basically the same, but using co2 will give you a wide range of FPS

Honestly Cold weather shouldn't be as bad. You'll likely be wearing more clothing or layers.

I played in the snow last year. That was pretty sweet. Cold isn't worse at all, you won't notice it when in the game.

Well, I guess I didn't really specify what I meant. I was more talking about how the cold weather would affect my gun/co2 setup and if there was anything I could do to help the gun peform a little better. IE is there anything I can do to help the inconsistency or freezing issues?
I'm not concerned at all with the pain. I'm by no means a badass or anything, we just don't care about that stuff. We don't even know what our guns are chrono'd at. We just crank them up til it shoots as straight as we want it to and things work out just fine

wow i must say that you are not very smart with safety. If you have your gun over 300 fps, you are risking cracking your lense witch makes playing any games with a cracked lens extremely unsafe.
But as far as you gun goes, there's not much to do with co2. The nest thing that you can do with co2 is get an anti-siphon tube installed on your tank by a qualified airsmith.

Hmmm, well I look into the AS thing. I guess it may be a good option if I don't want to spend the money.
My gun can only shoot a max of 300FPS so it shouldn't be shooting any higher. We don't crank them up all the way, we leave them just a little under whatever the max is which should put us pretty close to a normal speed.

Lets not turn this into "omg you could get hurt and give paintball a bad name. You're such a noob"
There isn't much you can do to stop you gun from freezing. I think they might make tank heaters that keep your your Co2 in a gas form would would stop the your gun from freezing.
