Welcome to the forum, the shockers are all sft(seal foward technology) the vision just means that it has eyes. Only buy the vision shocker because the blind ones will chop more frequently. There is a new shocker out, the nxt i would look into that, from what i have heard they are supposed to be really great guns.

I really want to rant about shockers, and just Smart Parts in general, but something tells me that I shouldn't

Ive been out of the loop for a while but i know that the new shocker is out, called the shocker NXT. From browsing around some online stores some are only stocking it now. It is about the same price as the SFT, but comes with some features that were lacking in the SFT design, including a High efficiency bolt (which was after market for the SFT and cost upwards of $60), break beam eyes (a good vision system), as well as some other features.

High end guns are really personal preferance, some people may like the feel of a shocker better than that of a pm and visa-versa. Personally however, i like the pm6, i have really liked the feel of the matrix line of guns.

I'd buy a pm6 just because DYE(the company who makes them) has super-amazing customer support, Smart parts doesn't' have a good record a tall fro customer service.

shockers are great guns and dont let other peoples opinions influence you too much on what gun you are going to get. Go down the a local shop and feel both of them. They might let you shoot them and go from there
And for the NXT vs SFT, not much of a difference besides breakbeam eyes, but the reflective eyes on a SFT will work great if you take care of them and clean them.
Both the pm6 and shocker will require a little more maintenance than other guns out there because they are spool valve. But all you would have to do is lube the bolt everytime you play. Lube the shocker's stock regulator every 6-8 cases or so.

meh, id go with the shocker. For what the PM6 has and what the shocker has, you can do more with the shocker. You can buy it and then spend the rest that you would on the PM6 on upgrades that are pretty much needed, like a bolt and barrel.

ive shot nothing but them, and ive never had problems. some people think SP is a bad company, but ive had nothing but good times dealing with them.
