air problems

first of all, is co2 good to use in a smart parts ion? if not..what should i be using?

ok, next question is my dad has an air compressor can that be used in the paintball air tanks? like one that goes into an ion? lol

No, its not good to use. AntiSyphoned can get you by, but its by no means good for the gun.

And no, your dads comp. prolly wont fill your tank.

oh sorry one more question what is the best air to use in paintball currently and where do people get their tanks filled..how much does it cost...and do they let you use it on like a regular publie local field or do they make you use co2

yes compressed air is used in paintball and will work with ur ion
all air is the same tanks differ tank can range from 47/3000 to 68/4500
and it cost 5$ per fill at most places and fields let u use either co2 or compressed air

Most places actualy have free all day air when you go to play....very rare to see it at 5$ a fill anymore.

No the air compressore will not work unless it can generate 3k PSI minimum...

i'm still newb to this can someone explain what 47/3000 to 68/4500 <---those numbers mean lol

oh yeah so basically i can use my dads comp to refill a tank meant for compressed air and use it in an ion

do i need something special to connect and get air to the tank?


(sorry for all these nooby questions lol we're all new once i guess)

47/3000 = 47 cubic inch x 3000 psi

and no, unless your dads compressor gets up to 3000 psi (which is doesnt) you cant use it to fill your tank.

Now, an alternative would be to go to a scuba store, buy a large tank (you can usually get a used one for around 100$) and get a hose to connect that tank with your tank and use it to fill.
