Since I got a new gun
I got a ION that been upgraded to cost like $500 for my first marker on Christmas. Will most fields let me play with the rec ballers or will they move me up. I still need to practice with marker still.
Another question is that when you shoot the gun do you spread your finger out when you shoot it or do you keep the hand on trigger and shoot.

-You got ripped off if you bought an Ion for 500$
-You can play recball with any equipment, such as you are able to play speedball with any equipment.
-I dont get your fingers question but I will say, do which one is more effective for you.

I mean to say that it cost $500 with a viewloader revolution hopper, barrel cover, titanium cover thing, improve motherboard, co2 tank, the hopper thing that can fit any hopper I think, and the something that helps release the gas.

You shouldn't have spent so much money on your first gun.
what level is there above rec ball? Tourney ball? To play tourney ball, you have to get on a team... and play tournaments. If you're asking if they'll let you play with tourney players? Then yeah, but thats still just called rec ball.
I think you're asking if when I shoot, do have my walking hand on the grips, or spread them out to the side of the gun? You should really only spread them out on the side if your hand is too small to grip the trigger frame and reach the trigger. I have to kind of stretch to grap the frame and trigger, but i'm getting used to it.

put the marker down, walk away slowly and maybe noone will get hurt...
Yes, the Ion is very much an electronic marker. with a very sensitive trigger. You should sell it and buy a 98 custom or somthing.

bman what they are saying is that if you are using co2 on an ion and you dont even know if the ion is electric or not that would cause you too be reconized as a newb who knows absolutly nothing about paintball and if you are getting into it you should get a very simple gun like a 98. you should not start with an ion if you know nothing, much less any other "mid-upper class" gun is the point they are trying to get across. you should do research on your ion and read the manual so you know how to wotk it. cause we do not want you to break it or hurt someone. anyways take time to look over it, see how to turn it on and off, and safley work it with the tank and all.

Yeah but still, it sounds like you don't know anything about the gun you bought, you should know a good amount about the gun before you should buy it. Oh and to turn it on, hold that power button until you see it light up. You should definatley read the manual. It's not that big. If you didn't get a manual go to smartparts.com and they should have one. The gun uses a 9 volt battery. It's under the grip if you didn't know that.
