I am starting to take up paintball and i was wondering if a ion would be a good first gun. If not... Leave suggestion

Your question is so common, I guarante with a minimal amount of effort the right answer can be found in duplicate in a sticky....then theres the search function as well. If youve done some research and have specifics, please ask.

no ion is not good for starter. 98 custom or A-5 are both good starter guns
No offense but an ion will be too complicated for you probably, you have to use Nitrogen not CO2, and you have to have a hopper that feeds fast, at least an evolution II or III. Get an A-5, i would suggest that

An A5 would be bad for a starter, especially if you're playing speedball. You'd want a 98c or better yet, a spyder.

I would get an Ion, jump right into non blowback electros right from the start. When you want to upgrade, you already know how to use a more complex gun than a Spyder or Tippmann. Also, the Ions are soooooo cheap, they are almost disposeable (exaggeration) but seriously, EVEYONE knows how to fix an Ion, and parts will be easy to come across if you **** it up.

Its not like an ion is an expceptionaly complicated gun. If you can read a damn instruction manual you can fix almost anyhting that goes wrong with an ion. Impulses, and 99% of all ep guns are the same way...
