THis is the gun package i am purchasing off of ebay for $230 (after shipping):

It is a dark angel 2001 w/ speedboard. I just want to know if it is a good gun, and worth my $230.

also, does it compare to the tippman a-5? If it isn't better than the a-5, then I'll just get an a5 for slightly more w/o the hopper and extras.

With all the stuff included, $230 is a pretty good price. The gun it's self isn't worth all that much. About $130 or so, but the hopper, tank, and mask make it worth $230.

If you get everything pictured, then yes, good deal.

If it's the gun only, then yes, you are being screwed.

Yeah, that has about everything you need. Its a good deal if it comes with everything. The gun and the tank would almost be worth $230

See, id on't need ANYTHING but he gun and the barrel. (perhaps the hopper. becaus eI wanna shoot at least 15bps.)

So for $255 (which is what he marked it up to) would I be better off getting just a better gun? I really just want a good gun, not that worried about hopper and berrel yet. Speedboard/lcd are also important. So what are my options as far as angels go (which is kin d of what i'm set on). OTher guns are okay to, but obviously I ain't getting no Bob Long or anything like that.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Bob Longs (they are really cool looking guns, but I heavent had the cahnce to shoot one unfortunately), but from what I have seen, they are increadibly out of my budget.

I haven't found a single bob long below $600. Which is 3x my budget.

I <3 the Marq 6 but yea, in all honestly that looks more like a PMI than an Angel, although Dark means it was pre upped by another company so they put new body on it reg barrel anno etc. but ya Angels are a good brand they are high grade stuff now a days so that'll probably be equal to like an ION im guessing since the technology has advanced so much, Plus u get a Carbon fiber tank a...something B i can't tell but thats a great hopper regardless mask harness and for $230...thats a great deal!!!!

just the gun i'd say take your business elsewhere, 01's are worth about $50 now.

so yea, just be careful with it, and you got urself a good deal.

As good as an ION? Not really, not really close even. The older angels are kida a rip off untill you get them 3 years after they come out and you knab one for cheap. The only one thats worth it full price is the A1. And just because its dark deosnt mean it has a ton of new stuff. Its a PL (private label) gun that has a new body. Alot of PL guns are just new milling and new color with nothing else new.

I'd agree about selling everything else. You could always use the stuff as a backup in case you stuff craps out too

"Bob Long's" are not out of your price range, you can find 2k2 timmy's for 250, which is what you're spending on this package.

That's a good price for everything pictured. The tank and the rest of the stuff could be sold off for 150-200 assuming the tank is within a reasonable hydro date.

You can easily find used 2k2 timmys for 200. There's someone on this forum selling an 05 style Dark Timmy for 350, far better than that angel or a 2k2 Timmy.

Used PMRs, Minis, DM4s, PM5s, SFT Shockers can all be found for around 300, check into those too.

I wouldnt do it. Considering the gun is 01 the tank may be 01 as well. Although it could be in date, you said the only thing you need is a hopper, so just get a used mini and vlocity and your set.
