So here's the story:

we drag our asses out of bed at 4:45 this morining to get ready for our tournament, and we all meet at my mid player's house at around 5:30, it's a two hour trip to the tournament mind you. well our back man never shows, so we wait, and wait, there goes breakfast time, there goes get lost time, if we boogie we can still make it, but he never shows, so we drive all the way out of town to his house and knock on his dorr because he wont answer his phone, this wakes his mom up and she goes to get him for us, well she comes back about 5 mins later and says that he never got permission from his probation officer!

DIDN'T GET PERMISSION!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN DIDNT GET PERMISSION!?
This is for all the team players out there: Don't bail on your team the morning of the tournament there's no faster way to piss somebody off.

That's why we don't ask this guy to come along with us, he's unreliable, and sleezy, you don't approch a team, ask if you can play with them, and then bail without warning or time to find an alternate!

We only invited him along because we were in a pinch and needed another body, someone who could pay the entry fee, then he bails! I am so pissed off!

Thats pretty gay. I've had a player not show up at the meeting place we have, so we jus left and he ended up going straight to the field, it was scary, we were pretty pissed at him. What field were you going to?

no he didn't have a Back player so they had their laner missing which is essential for the forwards to push into the snake 50 etc. man...that stinks, i've gone to only one or two tournies and no problems yet but we had 3 divisons of people go so we had people who could swap in if someone got sick or something.

You should always have one extra player, no matter what. Even though he screwed up by not coming, you screwed up by not being prepared.

Oh and Daziak, stop answering questions until you actually understand it or even know how to answer.

Always have an alternate. You probably should have bugged your friend and made sure he was able to go also.

Well the only reason we took this guy was because he was the back up, hes not on the team any more, he assured us he was able to go, i am so pissed! And yeah it's our first tourney, but we tried to be prepared. besides the roster was locked, so we couldnt have put anyone new in that morning even if we had someone.

Hm, i had something like this. We were going to a tourny one mourning, so i showed up to pick this kid up. He then tells me he is skipping out on us and going to the mall with a girl he started dating the day before. I chased him around the house with a broom for a while but that didnt sway his mind. I had to call our back up guy, but he was kinda hungover. Yeah, the backup guy ended up hanging the flag on the wrong station, even after watching other people do it the right way all day long, *sigh*. At least the refs didnt count that as an opponent hang, and we took 2nd at the tourny, right behind our sister team.

Oh and even if you're a man down, you should always play. In December we lost one person during a 5-man because he could not chrono his gun and just played 4v5 and still won. You guys should have just gone and played a person down all day. You'll still be wasting money, but at least you'll get better practice in than not showing up.
