I read a statistic somewhere (doing a paper on paintball) and it said that less people are hurt per capita, per year, than soccer, baseball, and football.

I've never seen an ambulance any time I've played paintball.
When I used to play soccer though, I'd say a couple each tournament (one of those times I was in it).

Of course its an extreme sport. Its all about adrenaline, it doesn't matter how safe it is.
Cheerleading definitely isn't a sport though.

I think the only time an ambulance would be needed for paintball if during a national event it was like 100*+ and some one just passed out.

i don't mean to defend cheerleaders and say cheerleading is a sport, but one of my good friends' is a cheerleader. i've watched her compete a couple times and some of the stuff they do is crazy. i still bust her balls and tell her that its not a sport.

cheerleading is a sport and so is paintball...
it irritates me so much when people say racing is a sport and things such as paintball and cheerleading are not...
how is cheerleading not a sport?!
a sport is defined as:
1. an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.
2. a particular form of this, esp. in the out of doors.
3. diversion; recreation; pleasant pastime.
sorry, that makes cheerleading a sport.
