I learned the hard way that you need a good on/off ASA with a bleeder. I had the stock on/off ASA that came with my marker and thought it was fine but I tore the threads to shreds and had a heckuva time getting the bottle on and off when it was pressurized. Even shooting it down didn't help.
Check out these:
Welcome To Dangerous Power.com!
They are SWEET and not much more than a regular on/off.

Wellll... Personally, I like(d) the Check It Unimount. They ARE univsersal, yes. Honestly, I would say use a CP (custom products) ASA now. Super easy to turn under pressure, come in good colors, have a bleed, not that much $.

you have a cp direct mount, they are pretty much the same thing as a cp rail/on off but they are ALOT bigger.

a rail attaches to your gun, then you attach the on/off asa to your rail, but with a direct monut you directly mount it to the gun.

so the direct mounts are they universal or do u need a certain one for each gun and do the rails need to be specifically for ur gun also wouldnt the direct mount be better since its closer to the gun

Depends on what you want. While rails add about 1/4" or something to the height of your setup, they allow you to adjust the length. Ideally your gun should have the rail built into your grip frame, so you can have the lack of height as well as the adjustability.

so that you kill the air gong into your gun before you take your tank off, when you take the tank off to degas the gun it kills the threads of the tank and isn't all that great for the o-ring either.

asa stands for Air System Attachment, and yes it will stop, turning the knob on the on/off pushes the thing that opens the tanks valve pin(not currently sure what it is called, somebody can go behind me and clarify it)forward stopping the air flow to the gun while bleeding off the air that was currently in the gun.

right on brother. Don't feel afraid to ask anymore questions either! I saw your thread about masks/pants too.
I personally love the on/off that came stock on my nxt, so so so easy to turn on and off, while some other ones on the market are kind of difficult.
