impulse not working -- video.
I took my impulse to a shot to get it fixed, and the guyt here could not figure out what was wrong. He said to call smart parts and ask them, but they are closed until monday.
The gun is starving for air. He checked and rebuilt both regs, inline and lpr and there was no change. THe Dwell is set fine also.
What else could possibly be wrong with the gun?
here is a video of wahts happening (the eyes are off btw).

At first I was going to say solenoid but it sounds like it's clicking...? You'd know the sound better than me, check if you can still hear it clicking. If not, check the battery and wires.
In this order, I'd recommend you:
Check the battery, make sure the HPR is adjusted properly, try another tank, try another ASA.
If none of that works, I'm stumped.

from what I saw the botl wasn't goin back. there could be a deep burr holding the botl forward, or the regs AREN'T dialed in and it isn't pushing the bolt back. or the noid could be just holding the air because it isn't etting the charge from the battery.
change the battery and see if that will change anything
^^^ got to it first.

like I said, it might be the solenoid acting quirky.

it wouldn't be the dwell causing the bolt to stay back, the dwell si s imply how many milliseconds the noid stays open to alot air to pass through

I bought it on ebay, and they guy is refunding me.
Any suggestions on a diferent / better gun for the same $200 price range?
ANythign better than the ion is fine with me (used guns are fine).

well an ion is what I would suggest to you, either that or bump it up to a wrath or a promaster if you like poppet valve guns.

ions are hard to find used (and if you do, they are still around $200), and $200 can get me a better used gun i think.

it is more then possible to find one with all the essential upgrades for about 200-225, and for that price there is nothing better then the ion.

they can be sent in and have eyes put in, so im assuming that since he said the Eyes are off that, that isn't the problem.

what is with these impulses and thier macrolines? mine just exploded out of the fitting going into the LPR...like the quick-disconnect separated! is that supposed to happen? lol
it looks like the solenoid because it would make some air noise if the regulators were out of adjustment. then again i am not an expert.
