My piranha...
Well, I just got a new piranha as a new gun. I get outside to shoot it, and theres something wrong. The range. My piranha goes about 30 ft and then the paintball dives down. The pressure is turned all the way up. Any help? Theres just no range...

Yea, my tank is full. It seems to go slower and not as far. My Spyder Xtra shoots way harder, and way faster...

The nob on the back? Its as far as it can turn...
I am somewhat of a newbie to paintball, and know nothing about the insides of the gun.

oil it up then. or you can tr the spring from your spyder to see if that changes anything. if it does fix the problem, you'll need a stiffer spring fro you marker.

I don't know how to take a gun apart, do I need any certain kind of tools? Will the Spyder spring fit? I don't know which Piranha I have. It's glossy black, mehcanical, and have "gill" imprits on the side of the gun. Which is better, a Spyder Extra, or Piranha?

My spyder only goes about 35ft. I havent been able to throw it much farther. However the paint it shoots goes 100 feet maximum, and it never goes straight.

Yes. But my Spyder shoots harder, and faster. It seems like my Piranha is slower. That 30 ft thing is an estimate.

Yep. An allen wrench. The same one that adjusts velocity. Just unscrew it all the way and take out old spring, put in new.

You do not need tools to change the spring in them.
What year model of piranha is it?
If it has a regulator on it, you may want to try opening it up a little bit or even taking it off, and directly screwing the tank vertically into the body. There may be something constricting the air flow into the marker. From my experience with piranhas the springs have never made it to where it only shot 30 feet, the spring problems I had were it wouldn't stay cocked.
