*sigh* no gun is geared towards a certain style of play. Both styles are the same, so if a gun is better in one format it will be better in both. If you want a nice mechanical marker the spyder Xtra is a great gun, otherwise if you want to spend a lil more the VS1 is a great lil gun.

cuz he probably realizes that an extra is dirt cheap, yet operates the exact same way

That was 2003 : The TL-X has been launched in 2004 and a new Xtra that year, the one that looks like the TL-X. So I'm pretty sure the green xtra was in 2004.

i was most interested in the green xtra because of looks... ive already decided to find me atleast an xtra thats a year old or so, cause the newest ones i do not like the look of. i prefer the shinier metal look, and that green is awesome. ill probably have to settle for that baby blue color i assume looking for a gun that is from 04' is probably not the best idea because of new technology, design. and i definetly want a mech gun, not electric. i used to own a spyder compact, probably in 98-99, and really enjoyed it. even with the little knowledge i had, just keeping it clean kept it in good working order. looks like since then, spyder has gone a little "wal-mart", hope that doesnt speak for its quality.

Yea, the extra is a great gun that hasnt changed (thats a good thing IMO). Bad company used to have spyder Xtra with egrips and they did damn good with them.
