Depends on the marker manufacturer. Basically 'rebound' mode is a euphemism for "ramping" mode. What that describes is where in an electronic marker as long as you are pulling the trigger at say 9 bps, the electronics will kick in and 'ramp' up to 15 - 25 or more bbs (depending on board, marker, paint etc.)
I think the ION calls it rebound, and there are a few others who change the mode name to be more palatable to the consumers as some thing 'ramping' is considered cheating.
Otherwise 'rebound' triggers back in the day were triggers that were returned with air pressure. Palmer's, AGD markers, and some others used this under different names. With a bit of practice, you could 'sweet spot' the trigger where you could just hold the trigger down to a certain point and the marker would then shoot faster.
Mostly in the world of paintball today, rebound = ramping and electronics.
