Problem with Electra
I currently use a Spyder Electra. Well, whenever you shoot it without using C02 or feeding it paintballs, you will get that "click" "click" sound whenever you pull the trigger. Whenever I play normally (using C02 and feeding paintballs), it will work perfectly, until 5 or 10 minutes later. I pull the trigger and it does the "click" "click" sound like there are no balls being fed or no c02. I cock the "bolt" back (don't know what it's called) on the side of the paintball gun and shoot and it does a short "CHGCHGCHG" sound. Then it goes back to "clicking". Can anyone tell me what is going on? Someone said that I should spray WD40 in my barrel because the paint balls might be getting stuck (might be the sound of the CHGCHGCHG I hear). Is that what the problem might be?

that's poor air flow. check your valve. the click you hear is solenoid. what is probably happening is your gun is freezing up and slowing down the bolt/hammer/valve. is the "CHGCHGCHG" like a "brupppppp" sound, loud at first then increasing in frequency (but lowering in loudness)? if so, it's probably the hammer sticking, or the valve.

Don't put WD40 anywhere on or in your gun. Oil (with paintball gun specific oil) the hammer/striker, and if the bolt is metal, oil that too. If the bolt is delrin (white plastic), just wipe any debris and crap off it. I'm guessing you can't afford it, but look into investing in a decent HPA tank.

The "click" noise is the sound it makes whenever I just turn the safety off and press the trigger (no C02, or paintballs). In the first beginning minutes it plays fine. It shoots perfectly, but then, it goes back to the "clicking" noise whenever I press the trigger. No paintballs come out, and no C02 sound comes out of the gun. I pull the bolt back on the right side of the paintball gun and pull the trigger again. It does a "CHGCHCG" sound, for about 1 second. It's very brief, and doesn't sound anything like a lawnmower. Then I pull the trigger again and the "click" sounds come out like No c02 or paintballs are in it.
It sounds something like this:

NOTE: Don't look at the video. Just listen to the sound. It's like that, except for 1 second and a bit faster.

the click is the solenoid, i'm pretty sure about that. you can make the solenoid cycle just by turning the gun on and pulling the trigger: you don't need to have co2 or paintballs in. i'm guessing the valve is freezing up, which stops the co2 from flowing (and thus stops any paintballs from coming out.)like darktamer said, though, don't use wd40. gold cup is pretty good paintball lube.
If you can't get HPA (your best bet) then i'd invest in a good expansion chamber. that should help some with keeping the co2 gas, and not liquid.
btw are you firing rapidly or slowly when it freezes up?

I can't remember. However, whenever I pull the trigger (with no c02/pballs) and set it to like 5-shot the solenoid sound stops after like 3 shots. Anyway, I probably sound like a noob already, but is the hammer/striker the metal thing on the right? If so, should I take it out or just drop a few pball oil into it? This is sad that I don't know the parts of a pball gun. I appreciate if you can help me.

I know that you should probably put the paintball gun over like newspaper, but I'll do that later..
Green = What I did
Red = Should I do this?
Blue = What I want to do
So, I'm trying to get that bolt thing out. I removed the top screw as shown in picture, as well as the pin (safety pin?) that goes through the gun. What would I do next? Should I remove the two screws at the bottom, as shown in pic? Those two are different than the other ones.. :S
Also, I took the cover off the "trigger" frame.
Should I oil the silver thing to the right?

I decided to go with my instinct and unscrewed the two screws located in the red circle. However, I cannot get the "cocking" bolt to come out because the thing is in the way. How would I get this out?

pull the pin all the way out. then the bolt and striker will slide out.
