new gun before holidays
I think i am in the right forum now. I have been playing paintball for 1 year now. I mainly play woodsball but might try speedball. I am in need of a new gun before the holidays so any help would be great!

I would look into the new Proto SLG, it retails for 250. But you would need a electric hopper and a compressed air tank. If you can't afford that look into the Spyder VS1, I have heard great things about it.
The Spyder VS1 actually is the better choice for your first marker and is a lot cheaper. It also can be ran on C02, which is cheaper if your just starting out.

I'm agreeing with the VS1. It's a good marker and running it on CO2 will allow you to get your tanks filled at many more locations. If you want to stay under $200 you should look at mechanical Spyder as you could always convert it to electronic down the road. Really an electronic is the only way to go for Speedball.

to be honest you could buy almost a whole set up for 250 used... i think thats the best way to go, most people who sell there guns online and stuff like ebay sell it after using it 2 or 3 times. spyder's are good reliable guns but if you are trying to move up and play speedball u could prob benefit from a higher end gun, forcefeed hopper, and nitro

as far as finding higher end equipment on websites such as ebay you kinda take a gamble, there is no garauntee that the "perfect" gun you want is gonna be up for sale and even if it is, it might not come with a hopper or a tank. But i see guns like Spyder Pilot ACS all the time on ebay for like 120 bucks with the "buy it now" option so you dont have to bid and they come with a Co2 tank, mask, and gravity feed hopper. You could also go to your local paintball shop and tell them that you have ______ amount to spend and would like to buy a set up and they might have something for you or could point you in the right direction. Hope that helps good luck!
