ehh, it depends on your style, even though you're as biased as I am. In my opinion, save up a little more and get the Epiphany. Stock, the extra price makes it MUCH more worth it. And, you can use your current freak parts with the freak it comes with.
Stock Promaster Pros/Cons
Pros
Faster
More Accurate (with single shots, see cons)
Cons
Heavy(er)
MUCH more kick, makes laning difficult if you're smaller
Can't use it in the rain (open-ish top (can't confirm how bad it is, just what i've heard from PM owners))
board is a pain the ass to access
no ASA stock
Stock Epiphany Pros/Cons
Pros
Light(er)
More accurate for burst firing or laning
More user-friendly, with more easily accessible features
THOUSANDS of upgrade parts, full compatibility with Ion parts, with the exception of older aftermarket boards (pressure rating too low, can be fixed with better hoses).
Quiet with the Freak barrel
Cons
Considered VERY ugly by some (I find them very cool, all opinions)
Stock board MUCH more constrictive
Less air-efficient
The 1/4 turn ASA is known to strip threads of weaker tanks (advise getting a new one or being VERY gentle)... it happened to me.
No B.O.B. design (Bolt Out Back)
Stock feedneck is so/so at best (keep O-rings in for VL loaders, take them out for Halo/Empire loaders, then it works fine).
So, if you ask me, the Epiphany is better for the money, and as a starter gun, but I'm just as biased as Martix is. Inevitably, it's your choice.
