PPS brass with apex

I am about to purchase a 14 inch pps brass for my sp-8 and will be mounting my apex tip on it. Just wondering if I should get the barrel ported or not and if so, will it effect my accuracy?

Porting doesn't affect accuracy at all. Porting is meant to dissipate gas to lessen the recoil on a firearm from a large burst of gas as the projectile exits the gun(it'll force the gun upwards otherwise). Since the pressure behind a paintball is no where near large enough to give any considerable recoil that would require porting, it doesn't affect accuracy.

On the other hand, porting reduces sound. If you like a quiet marker, then get the porting.

Possible Newb Staement here, but I thought porting also helped accuracy a little. Something to do with the gas not all forcing it's way out of the front of the barrel with the paintball (i.e AROUND the paintball) and causing the paintball to have too much spin and veering to the side...

Or am I way off?
