I disagree. You can sometimes find people who have no idea what their stuff is worth on E-bay and get a nice gun for cheap. (this also works the other way to), but on PBnation I always see guys who think thier Markers are the **** and charge way to much for them. Your best bet on the nation is to trade.

Every time I have bought a marker I always check both. And for what I am looking for, I can always get it cheaper on the nation. Very few times, can you find a great deal on ebay. To many people use it to get cheap markers, which makes it not cheap at all.
Especially at christmas time lol. A lot of people use ebay to buy markers.

Your local store hands down! While you may pay a few bucks more for it initially you can save tons over time. Local stores are hurting b/c of cheap online prices, and people selling stuff under MAP and basically killing their business. Most will offer incentives if you buy from them such as discounts towards future purchases, enterance at fields, paint, air, etc... Not to mention they will be glad to help you with any problems you might have with it as well as offer free labor should it need to be serviced in the future. I say use the net to find what you want and go to your local proshop and order it. Gotta support the brick and mortar stores otherwise they won't be there any more and you will HAVE to pay that 8 bucks shipping on a couple of .30 cent O-rings

I'm all for supporting brick and mortar buildings. however, thing guy is flat broke and can not afford much; this leads me to believ he's looking for something used. How many stores carry used markers?

Every store I've ever been to usually has a few.

my local pb shop carries a lot of used guns. if i were you (thread starter) go to your lcoal store and see if they have anything you like. talk to the guys that work there and see if they can help you out.
if you dont' find anything at a local store, check the b/s/t section of pbnation.

Before you go local
check with another customer. I just bought a gun today from the local guy because I like to support local shops and figure I'll get good service from them. Well, I got the gun home and the electric hopper it came with had a deformed plastic molding that would not let the batteries slide in. No problem I figured and drove right back to be told that they don't accept returns on electronic gear! I had it for 5 minutes and now they treat me worse than anyone ever has on the internet! BTW, I bought 2 guns there before X-mas and all the stuff like carbon tanks as well. So after $1500 in a week, the best they can do is loan me a hopper (gravity) and send my new POS in for repair! I'll live and its not the biggest bad thing in the world but if I was the owner I'd have made a full refund and asked if there was something else I might be interested in! As it stands, when I get my new feed assembly, it will be the last time I visit Sureshot Paintball in Calloway MD!

That sucks. The worst experience I've had was really long repair time or just really steep pricing on repairs. But even at those locations, if I had a problem with gear I bought there, they would do their utmost to repair or replace it free of charge.

Yeah, I was shocked
I was away from the store for less than 15 minutes and now I'm waiting on a warranty issue! I'll never go back after my feeder is replaced. I was spending way too much on paint there just to support a local shop and this is the payback? Nuts!

Our local shop is gone for lack of business because prices were so steep on EVERYTHING!!!
I say order from actionvillage for cheaper new stuff and pbnation or ebay for used stuff. Look for an older marker and they'll be cheaper deff!
