electonic gun for wifi bot paint ball turret
hello all, sorry for the weird title
well during the recent summer vacation i started working on a project of mine. project name is called Semi-teQ (hosted on the Bit-tech.net forums) in short terms i built a wifi controlled robot with a full on board computer.
now in the back im adding a pan/tilt computer controlled paint ball turret, but im not sure how to start on it.
does anyone have any recommendations on good cheap guns that would make a good turret. its best for this gun to be electronic, that way i can just tap in to the electrical boards of the gun.
im going to be hacking the whole gun apart so, maybe $80 or less.
also whats a good sized co2 tank to use, it doesn't have to last for more then 30min, so maybe like a 4oz with an anti-siphon, might be sufficient?
let me know what you guys think, im open to any comments, suggestions or ideas, thanks!!

Spyder imagine is your cheapest bet in all probability.....should be able to get one(or a nice cheap e-spyder) sub 100$ dollars.

I say tippman triumph. it's a tippman 98 custom with a plastic body, but it's electronic

ya i can't wait to finish this, its going to get a bit complicated but im up for it.
i lost my camera charger so i bought one from ebay a few days ago, should be here soon, so i can keep my bots project log going. but sure i will try my best to keep taking pics of progress.
i looked at the triumph, and i found that theres XT and i found one thats EXT i guess meaning eclectic trigger. so i googled that and i found a nice one at walmart for $70, i like the gun a lot so now im leaning on that one, until i found a better one
Triumph by Tippmann eXT Paintball Marker
as far as the Spyder goes, its a nice gun but it looks to solid to nicely mod up

It goes through the center "vertical grip" thing and threads directly into the top of the "asa". I'm not entirely sure it would even be removable and modifiable to work with this setup. Your going to have to take a serious hacksaw to the gun and chop it into pieces to make it fit.
With the spyder you can lop off the bottom of the frame(all but the cage for the noid) and run direct airline to it. I think the spyder will be more adaptable for what he needs. You might also look at setting up a pneumatically actuate automag. No-chops, and VERY small. I could help you design something if you want, but it would be a bit out of your budget I'm afraid....

ok so i was browsing the website.. and came upon this.. and i joined, just so you could hear my opinion,
i have owned a spyder imagine for a few years now. and although i hate it, it is the perfect gun you are looking for. it is 5 times better than a triumph, and it is extremely easy and simple to take apart/mod. you should really go for the spyder imagine...

I loved my Imagine! And it would make a perfect gun for modding. Cheap, electro, reliable!
I got some spare spyder parts if you do decide to get any spyder too

well.. i have one of the older imagines. and in the mornings when it's really cold outside.. the co2 will actually freeze my gun to the point it won't work and ice starts to fall out of it.. works just dandy in the middle of the day though..
i have to admit though it has served me well these past few years.. but i am upgrading to a Promaster. it's being shipped right now i can't wait.. unfortunately i can't play with it until i can by an asa and a nitro tank to go with it =[

Want to sell that imagine off cheap? or at least the frame...
BTW, it was freezing because you needed an anti-syphon tube LOL

hmmm, i thought about the setup today, space isn't an issue, and maybe the spyder is going to be better to mount in one piece. im going to look into it and see if i can fond a strip down of it
