Any Barrel Suggestions?
Howdy, this is my first post here. I'm mostly a Woodsballer. I've been shooting a Tippmann 98 custom with a flatline barrel, collapsing stock, VL Evlution 2 hopper, and a Red dot sight for a couple years. I've decided to get rid of the stock and flatline since the stock gets in the way of my mask when I try and use the sight. And I want to lose the flatline barrel because it isn't consistent enough for me. It does shoot farther than other barrels by far, but it's not even close to being accurate past 40 yards, and it's a bit scetchy at 30 and closer unless I have the velocity perfectly tuned. I think with a straight barrel, like maybe a J&J 14" or something like that could be more consistent. What do you guys think?

I think you answered this question your self. If your are looking for a slightly better barrel the Stiffi, DW Fibur, and the Dye UL. They are also more money, of course

For that gun, a J&J 12 inch, or a freak with a snub tip on it. The extra length on a 14 will not help(really anything past 8 doesn't help...), and a tippman is long enough in the first place.

well if you want some range you cant go wrong with the APEX barrel. it has more settings than the flatline. they say you can get 300 feet hits with it. you also can curve the balls to hit victims behind bunkers and such. the bad things are that the tip of the barrel is fairly big which prevents sticking your barrel in tight spaces and its pretty loud.

Nah, I'm mostly looking for consistant accuracy. Like I said, I already bought the flatline and didn't like it because it wasn't consistant. But I did research the Apex after you recommended it, thx for the input.

Two piece barrel systems aren't really more accurate than one piece barrel systems, they're just a lot more "variety friendly." This is because since they are in two pieces, you can interchange barrel backs and fronts of the same threading (Autococker with Autococker, Impulse with Impulse, etc.). I'd go with the J&J Ceramic barrel, but in no more than 14" in length.

I've been hearing alot of good things about the Hammerhead barrels. And out of all the reviews I found, only one wasn't completely positive. What do you guys think about Hammerheads?
