anyone have any advice on which one to get? anything helpful is greatly appreciated.

Definitely the Pilot. They're a great starter gun and are really upgradeable.

they're both the same thing. one has an electronic frame and the other has a mechanical frame.

I would much rather prefer an electronical frame. And I didn't realize they were the same.
