the only bad thing i've ever heard of in paintball while following all the rules, was some guy dove on a stake holding down an airball bunker at the badlandz in chicago and tore his scrotum

The insurance statistics rate it as safer than most other sports out there, like skiing, snowboarding, bowling, etc.

but honestly it boils down to what you consider as an injury...i don't consider bruises as injuries, or other small things like small scrapes and tiny cuts. But if you consider that stuff as injuries then paintball isn't for you

Injuries involve:
Loss of blood, inability to reproduce, loss of sight or hearing, etc along those lines.

Paintball is very safe, and there is a huge emphasis on safety at pretty much every field. Just keep you mask on at all times, and put your barrel plug/condom in when the game is over.

No problem. When I was 12 my mom said i couldn't play, and then I got my dad to come to a feild and do some "infestigating". I got him to play and he got hooked... Needless to say we both had our own equipment by the end of the week.
