Recently i upgraded from a "spyder victor" to a "ion black." i have been paintballing for about a year and i think i upgraded too soon because i know nothing about the gun and i only paintball twice a month. did i just waste my money and upgrade too soon?

A year should be enough experience to know how to work on a gun. Just be very careful ad don't try to force out what doesn't want to come out. and Read your markers manual and watch tech vids on it online.

ok i know i did i have realized that. im going to sell the gun and probably look into a vibe or or something like that. any recomendations?

Honestly now that you have it just keep it, it would be way too much hassle to look into any other gun. Maybe not for a PMR se though.

I like how you think. but it's a bit late to be telling him that now that he's got it.

Ions aren't that great. the feel cheap, they look cheap, they are cheap. They're also a paint to clean and maintain because you have to remove super-sensitive banjo bolts in order to simply lube it up. Said banjo bolts strip easily then leak profusely.

it's also a smart parts marker

The Ion isn't the greatest of markers to start out with.

understandable, but still, SP DID make the EOS and the FREAK, and both have been great to me, and I KNOW that people LOVE the DW Fibur barrels, which take FREAK inserts >.<

I've shot my fair share of Ion's and can't really say they "suck"

So, what makes it so bad (and don't say it's because it's SP)?

well the first day i got it, it was leaking, the next day paint wouldnt feed into the chamber, (so i got a locking feedneck witch fixed it) and now the inside is leaking and the gun is just over powering me.

yea it was that clear hose connecting to the main line through the handle

get used to little problems like that. My freind had an ion. The thing was broke more than it worked.
