This is what I use when I play my gun is the stock EGO 08 I have a Halo B hopper and also I have two 68ci 4500 PSI HPA tanks. Now that being said anyone have any suggestions as to what for upgrades if any would be good for it?

Maybe a DW fibur barrel, other then that none. If your the uber craziness on lightness you could get a Vlocity hopper, faster then a halo and half the weight.

barrel sounds like a good idea to me and the hopper I like my halo and I cant shoot any faster then 16BPS on semi and 25 on ramping and the halo holds up fine as for the weight its not to bad I would like a lighter barrel though so I am going to look into the dw fibur.

dont' invest any money into that ego till you're ready to use it. for now stick to your ion. don't invest any money into that either except for a barrel or a clamping feedneck. the resale on ions is tremendously low.
for the fiber barrel you need inserts for it to work right. Pick up a 6.85, .689 and .691 for sure. then, when you get the money or find some paint that doesn't work with them perfectly you can pick up the in-between sizes later.

ok and I'm still gonna use the ego in at least one game each time I play so I can figure it out while using it as well as reseaching it.

it uses the freak inserts, it will not work without them, every ball will just break if you dont have an insert in
btw, dont take after sweeden, learn to use the edit button or it just looks like you are trying to jack up your post count

I dont know if any of you have heard of this kind of paint but I use either RPS premium or Impact now the impacts are like 37 bucks for 2000 rds at wal mart but they are a pretty damn good quality ball I think what about all of you?

Inserts change the inside diameter of the barrel, allowing maximum paint to barrel fit, which increases efficiency and accuracy.

Yea I cant wait till this weekend I have like 8000 rds at my house just waiting to b shot and you'll never guess who begged me to play. My freakin fiance and her mom want to play against me and my brother. I figure I'm gonna use the ego this one time just to see how it goes since I learned a little more about it and my brother has a ion not the xe but a ion. My fiance has a ion xe and her mom a spyder pilot. so this should be fun cause neither of those two played before mayb I'll take it easy on them and give them a chance. And yes I know its the player not the marker but like I've stated before I've been playing woodsball for 2-3 years I'm just new to the high end guns thats all.

lol, dont mess up your wedding plans!
as for that paint, iv used some primium, but a) i thought it was pmi premium, and b) iv never seen it anywhere but paintball shops. so if its the same stuff, blue or purple box i think?it was pretty good
one thing i would recomend with that ego, shoot good paint through it, i shot some real budget stuff through my dm6, started really messing up and managed to chop a few, had to tear the bolt out and clean it all and re-lube it, never again.
o and no more buying from walmart of fredmeyers or sports authority, the paint they have is usually sitting there for months before you get to it, stuff at the shop is always fresher

ok I mean I havent had a problem with the impacts they really are made well and I put at least 3000 rounds of it through the ego at a target at my house. The premium box said RPS on it but they were blue/yellow with yellow fill and it was the same kind I got at velocity. Except it I bought it off anythingxtreme.com thats all.
