help me pick out a paintball marker

Hello everyone im new here as you could probably tell. I have a question about what marker to get for ~$300. What do you guys think about the ion XE? Or how about the epiphany? I need a accurate gun that could still shoot pretty fast. Can you please recommend me a marker

Both are great but the Epiphany has a better Freak barrel and is all metal I think. The advantage to the XE is money savings you could spend on a better tank and your other gear (paint is very expensive too). Keep all of the equipment in mind for your budget. If you have everything else priced or purchased then get the Eppy for the better barrel.

Good luck and have fun!

What would you call an empty field with a bunch of beat up cars, or a mini town? Cause thats what I play mostly. Im guessing it would be considered speed ball?

get a proto matrix rail, if you can find one get a pmr se, which has all the needed upgrades on it already, pmrs are by far the best markers in that price range, they are easy to mantian, shoot very fast, and are just all around sick. i have was thinkin of gettin an epiphany but im really glad i went with the pmr, they are way better imo

I'd call it a basic recball field. Before you go crazy on the electro marker purchase does this field fill air or just CO2?

The field fills both air and CO2. The spyder electra also caught my eye, does anyone have experience with that gun? Also how fast and accurate is the pmr stock?

Id go with the SP1. Its the best deal in the entry level paintball market. You will not be disappointed if you get one. Use the money you saved to get a better air system or gear.

Accuracy with paintballs is iffy at best what you need is to match the paint to your barrel and have a consistent air source take care of both of those and all markers will be decently accurate but it is mostly up to the shooter to place the shots on target. I'm not a big fan of Spyders I think they are essentially junk but that is just my opinion. PMRs are amazing pieces of equipment fast and quiet and very reliable as far as accuracy goes I think I've covered that aiming is a skill you have to practice you can't buy it.

how fast does the pmr shoot? It looks like a very nice gun. Also what kind of tank would I need for it?

You will need an HPA tank for sure and it will shoot faster than you will ever need.

I think im gonna go with the PMR. What would be the best thing to upgrade on it? Also can you use air and CO2 with the PMR?

I'm not big on spool valves but a new feedneck, back cap and UL frame are the common PMR upgrades. You cannot ever use CO2 on a PMR.
