I was aware of the whole right thirty stuff until i went to the PSP event. Now they don't just call out the thirty and what not. They use snake 1, 2, or 3 dorito 2, or 3. I think I understand the snake, there are 3 bunkers dividing the snake and I think when someone is behind the farthest out bunker that's snake 1 but dorito 2 and all that stuff I don't get. Can someone please let me in on as much of the calls as possible. The field layout is here
I had trouble following the D calls myself as I watched the pro teams tackle the field. Teams were all using different ways to call the Doritto side bunkers. Some had D1 as the maya , D2 as the temple, etc. Others simply called the maya temple "tower" or "spike" and had the D calls start with the 40-temple.
For the snake they were not calling the individual giant beams but the bunkers between each beam. The farthest bunker from that team was S1 (as it is the lowest threat) So S1 was the temple, S2 the 40-cake, S3 was the 40-cake on the tape with S4 being the cake on that teams side of the field. All told the snake calls *could* go up to S6 on the chicago layout.

I have a much better understanding of it and i appreciate it much. Do you think that there is anyway that someone could maybe label it for me on paint or something? I'm sorry I see it but am unsure still.
Well yeah, the only thing ive known to call is right 30 and what not and that stuff. But this way although complicated at first seems much more accurate to call out.
One of the guys on my team just could not do yardage. He said whenever someone would call out the position of a bunker using yardage he'd have to stop and think about just where the heck that bunker was. Using simple calls for all the bunkers allowed him to just react and not stop and think on the field.
Here's chicago layout with one of the ways teams called bunkers. The snake side maya and temple each had nicknames from certain teams like "beast" and "calinfornia". Command center is a common nickname for a medium sized dorrito in the center of the field.

You don't know how much I appreciate for you taking the time to do this for me. I'm very thankful for that and you are right that's pretty much the reason i wanted to learn this, thanks again VERY much!
Oh and when you talk about the maya and temple, is the maya the smaller one? and which one would be called california or beast? would that be the taller one? the temple? Sorry if i ask too much.

You'll see that most teams call out bunkers differently. If you're on a team, work with them to figure out what you guys are going to call them. My suggestion is to not make a code or anything to complicated because everyone forgets it when they are getting shot at.
You're right thanks, I just want to learn the basic calls. It could help out. If you hear a call from another team then you would know that they are aware of you and watch for any moves.
I call the maya the taller one and I refer to the temples as aztecs. Its really something you just need to agree on with your team or find what most people at your field call bunkers.
I believe the pro teams were calling the snake side maya temple as beast. Dynasty was using California.
Teams use the nicknames for bunkers as a code. Different teams will use different codes. The use of the codenames is simply to make it very easy to quickly identify a bunker. The nicknames/codes are more of an advanced call and something you don't need to worry about learning exactly. The teams just make it up. You can call a bunker "Bob" when you play, it doesn't matter.
Get used to the number system first. Home and command center are the 2 most common nicknames on the field and are used almost universally. Other then that get used to counting the number of kills. Many people do this as calling "G1" which is the 1st kill, then G2, G3, etc. Other teams count strikes or use other number systems.
