Can someone tell me what the deal is with a paintball pistol being way more expensive than an actual gun?

not all of the time. a good one runs about 80 bucks. the TPX is WAY overpriced, but hey, it holds paintballs in a clip and is 68 cal.

your trying to do the same thing a full sized marker does in a much much smaller package its that simple

ya unless you have a lot of disposable income they dont really do much, dont carry them out on the field, having a backup is pointless, when was the last time your marker went down in a game? but if you want one for kicks and giggles then hey its your money go for it, personally i was looking at them a while back and i decided i wanted one that would have a co2 cartrage in the front so its easy to change out and a clip feed on top

ya that was my thought too....so instead i bought a cocker and sunk about $600 into it.....ya go figure
