Exclamation A Good Speedball Starter Gun???

I am realitively new to paintball, and am trying to get a good idea on the guns that are in my price range. Now, I could start with a woodsball gun but I actually prefer speedball guns. Now, I'm on a budget of like 100 bucks so I'm just looking for a like a crappy wal-mart or canadian tire gun. (by the way, I'm canadian so prices are probably different here)

Start with an electronic spyder like the VS1. Is $100 your marker budget or your entire paintball budget?

Well considering I don't have a job and had to sell a bunch of stuff to even get this money, yeah it's pretty much me entire budget right now. I don't care about paint right now, all I need is a good starter marker and a co2 tank.

If you could save a bit, there are spyders Pilot at wal-mart for 169$ CAD. I've seen one yesterday. I'm just sad they didn't have an electra. The sonix can be found at 105$ CAD on paintballgear.ca, that's a good price in Canada.

I found a Sonix at an online store for 97 bucks. And it's based in Canada about an hour from where I am currently. Now, only thing I don't get. What the heck is a vertical feedneck? Not that elbow thing I hope. And I can upgrade that gun with a blade trigger right?

As I said, I found a Spyder Sonix online. Don't know what the vertical feedneck thing means and need to know if I can put a blade trigger on it

vertical feedneck means that the hopper stand directly over the marker, where a angle feedneck brings the hopper on the side.

Not requiring an elbow? cause it just makes it stick out more.

The sonix '09 have a clamping feedneck, so there's nothing else required.

Spyder Sonix Paintball Marker

Thats the one I'm looking at. Don't know if it's an 09, but it'll get the job done. Hopefully.

Vertical is easier to use, and generally considered better. Although that particular Spyder will still require an elbow, it will require a straight elbow instead of the 45% elbow.

this is a 2007 model, so you will need a vertical adapter. Pay 10$ more and get a 09 : they are shorter, lighter, have a clamping feedneck, and require no tools to clean.
