So I decided not to buy the ion, but to get a Invert Mini instead. Now, the only thing that troubles me is that before I was about to get it shipped, the owner said that he took it out for one more test spin to make sure its all working nicely: Apparently the gun wouldn't shoot and after fiddling he found out the trigger magnet had fallen out of place. Now I have virtually no idea what this means, but is it a big concern? Should I be sweating or loosing sleep over this?

Well....now you just can't walk the trigger anymore....
You could glue it or something, or you can try to get a discount if you haven't paid for it yet and get a CP trigger that uses springs.
Don't worry, easy fix, just try to get a discount.

The mini does not use a microswitch but rather the halls effect sensor to detect when the trigger has been pulled. The halls effect relies upon a magnet moving through a voltage difference. The magnet the owner lost isn't for trigger return but rather to fire the gun, which is why the gun isn't shooting now.

Not that big a fix. I'm not sure if there are replacement options out there for the mini trigger, however it would be pretty easy to find a small cheap magnet from radio shack and attach it in the right spot to have the marker working again.

Ahh he said that he fixed it and would ship it tomorrow morning. Since it happened once, will it happen again more often, or can the gun work flawlessly from now until its end?
