Alright. I just ordered this : Paintball - Rare ATCI TM11A Pump paintball gun - eBay (item 300350396740 end time Sep-29-09 23:46:01 PDT) I haven't got it yet, but I'm already thinking about upgrades. I'd also like to know how I did price wise. I spent $40.02 on it. Not to bad in my opinion, but I want your opinions, too.

So, to sum this up, I wanna know:

How did I do money wise?
What upgrades should I get?

Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated!

The whole beauty of playing pump is not worrying about upgrades at all. Buy a nice pocket hopper like a Winchester and then invest in some paint. If you like playing pump you can start shopping around for something fancier and if you find out that pump isn't your thing you are only out $40. Lots of guys have jumped into the pump game and wasted a lot more money than that. Pump is cheap and some of the most fun you will ever have in paintball just remember to keep moving and be patient there is a steep learning curve to overcome.

Just shoot it the way it is, then invest in a better pump down the road. Cool little gun, but I can't imagine it shoots all that great. For $30 though, who cares?

Awesome. Yeah I've never played pump but I'm looking forward to getting into it. If I like it, I'm considering getting a Phantom. Just going to have to save some money.. What's a good size tank to use for that gun? All the videos I've seen they've used like 9oz CO2 tanks. Would that be good? Or would a 20oz be better?

A 9oz C02 or a 13/3000 tank with a 50 round hopper would be perfect. I'd only get a Phantom if you're going to play stock class. I have both a Phantom and a Sniper and I hardly ever use the Phantom because the sniper is so incredibly smooth. I've run the Phantom in open class and I really just prefer the feel of a well tuned sniper to it.

Nice. But how much would a good sniper cost me? I like the look of them, but I wasn't about to get one untill I know whether or not I even like playing pump.

I've snatched them up for as low as $100 before. You can find parts anywhere so a lot of people just build them. Phantoms are nice but cost way too damn much for what they are. Just prowl the PBN and mcarterbrown pump forums and jump on a deal when you see it. Also check out custom cockers.

I may look into it, but I'm going to play some with the pump that I have on the way to see if I even wanna get into pump. I'll keep my eyes open though.
