Go Tippmann!

I think .50 paintball is a bad idea. I think it's going to hurt paintball more than it's going to help it.

GI milsim is the other company. Unless they're owned by smart parts, I wouldn't be surprised if they were.

Planet Eclipse has a .50cal conversion kit for all ego7's and newer I believe, may fit older models, not sure
I think that CheckIt made the conversion kit for cockers

No, GI Milsim is owned by Richmond Italia the guy who invented Xball. .50 cal is all his idea.

Didn't .50cal start a long time ago, and just recently got more interest in it?

There are three types of companies, as far as .50 cal is concerned:

1) The companies that are pushing .50 cal. This is SP/GI Milsim (GI Milsim = SP/Richmond Italia - GI stands for Gardner/Italia, from what I'm told). These are the scumbags that just recently set a new record of a 12 out of 10 on my BS Meter with their hype and shill advertising. The graphs they've released that contradict physics are a personal favorite.

2) The companies that are making .50 cal conversions to their .68 cal markers. Honestly, I think what's going on here is that these are the companies hurting financially due to the slow economy, and though they don't see .50 succeeding, they aren't in a strong enough position financially to make a stand against it. They'd rather ride the fence and not take a chance either way.

3) The companies that are against .50 cal. These are largely the guys interested in the long-term good of our sport. They believe that innovation is a better way to sell markers than trying to force change on players with deceit and false advertising. Chances are, these companies have been around long enough to remember the failures of other calibers in the past.

Interesting. I knew Italia was behind the .50 cal thing but I didn't assume he'd invent xball and then go on to start a milsim company.

it's widely speculated that he signed a non-compete agreement for .68 caliber. trying to shove .50 down players' throats is his next money-making scheme.

Their first guns were milsim, they have milsim in their name. Also I love how in the video for that they spelled their own name wrong.

could be like DXS making the eco friendly paint

Shell that degrades quicker and fill that doesn't use nasty additives?

so does the marker dissolve into nothing if left out in the woods? i fail to see how a marker is "eco friendly"

its probably something along the lines of ".5cal releases less co2 per shot so we are saving the environment hooray!"

actually the more co2 (to an extent) the better off the environment.. plants eat co2 and turn it into o2
