spyder Vs2 and HPA tanks

hey all, i play paintball every weekend or so and was wondering if anyone could tell me about hpa/co2 tanks. recently got a spyder Vs2 and heard that it has problems running on Co2. wondering if this is true and actually if it would be bad if i used something like a 700 shot hpa tank and a co2 tank when thats out. id say i fire around 1500 shots each time i play. anyone who has any advice id appreciate it.

not any hpa tank will work, there are low pressure and mid pressure tanks out there that would not supply enoufgh pressure to the marker to fire it. you need a high pressure tank (high pressure refers to the output pressure of the reg not how much is in the tank btw) HP tanks are about 80% of the market so they are really easy to find

Since the VS2 runs on ~350 psi, mid pressure tanks SHOULD be fine to use on it.

really? i thought they were 500+ which means a MP tank would be a grey area

bB3A5T-you do NOT want a LP tank, and im not sure all MP tanks would work but i think they should, at any rate id still say get a HP tank, it will be much easier to resell if you want to down the road

HP Nitro tank sound more promising considering ima PB noob. saw a vid yesterday with the same opinion Trbo323. ill probably get the HP tank for my spyder and when i get a better gun switch it up if i need to.

btw if your filling with a scuba tank, does whether the nitro tank is HP or LP matter at all?

Scuba tank=HP and if you use a scuba tank, you get less and less out of each fill, it would be better to go to your local shop and get it filled there

Let me try and translate.
As you fill using the scuba tank the pressure decreases meaning you get a emptier fill the next time you do it and etc.
But Scubas can be used to fill lp tanks as well so scuba=/=hp

The VS2, VS3, and RSX all use the G3 Balance Valve system, dropping the operating pressure to about 220psi

I use my Mid Pressure DXS tank on everything, uncluding my VS2.5, with zero problems at all
You just need to make sure that the tank is from a good company, as they will have the recharge rates fast enough to supply your gun

its comments like this that make me smack my forhead

a scuba tank is not HP, LP or anything else, its an unregged system, there is a valve at the top not a regulator, your output pressure is the same as whatever is in the tank, using a scuba is a great way to bring large amounts of air out to a woodsball course with you, thats what i do, instead of playing through my 2 tanks and being done i can keep playing thanks to having my scuba and NOT having to drive back to the shop
