Bob puts x-chambers on his markers and has done so in the past (see dually timmys, the gen 1/2 era mostly) as a way to further combat drop off.

Kinda a neat idea. If you're using extra space as volume chambers, you can be a bit more aggressive in designing the valve chamber because you'll have a bit of a safety net.
