So I took out my new Ego...
So, just got back from deployment on Tuesday, and I figured that it was time to get back out there and play some paintball. I recently bought an Ego 11 off of some dude on here, and I was really excited to take it out. I played the first 6 or so games with it, and then switched to my Luxe for the last set of games. As much as I love to use my Luxe, I think that I may like the Ego more. It seems to be a bit lighter, and I have a better feel for the trigger. I deffinately notice that it's either firing faster, or it's just so much louder than the Luxe that I notice it more. I might just need to get a better trigger on the Luxe though.

I could never learn to like the feel of the Luxe. I just think that with the exception of 90* framed Angels, Y & Z-framed mags, and a few other oddities like that, it's the absolute least comfortable marker in my hands I've ever used.

has SP ever made a marker that feels great in anyones hands? i mean really like perfect? i feel that way about the UL frame on the DM line but looking back at all the SP markers i have held, they all felt awkward in one way or another
so snow, you still want the shoebox shocker?

yea. I always was hoping that somebody who played at my field would have an impulse so i could hold it; it never happened. I don't know if they didn't shoot very well or what, because they seemed to be a pretty large flop.

They were due to the timing of them coming out right before SP declared bankruptcy, so as DLX they offered a trade-in value on the Impulse better than the used market offered. My nephew had one, and they shot quite nicely, and were pretty comfy to hold.

Think there's any chance that GOG will bring it back out, or do you think they're more interested in the low.mid end markers now?

gog is more interested in the garbage that is the ion in its many forms. why produce 2 markers when you could produce marker A, and then marker A in a dress?

But the '09 was made out of crap metal and to crap tolerances. The valves leaked like sieves and the feednecks fell off. That's why they all got traded in on Luxes... The trade-in value on that deal was higher than the used market value for the clunkers, so everyone jumped at it.
For what it's worth, I like the Ego... And PE is a good, upstanding company.
I am also really growing to like the G6R...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. the G6R is the best marker on the market right now; it's really put PE back on their heels, especially since they didn't come out with a 2012 model ego. I expect huge things from them in 2013 in the attempt to compete with the G6R
