Chest protectors???
My nephew has been playing PB with me more and more. And has asked his mom for a good chest protector for Christmas and wants me to help him pick one out. So I am asking you guys what you suggest. He has looked at them online. He likes the dye, empire, and planet eclipse. Here's my question.
Which is less bulky in the padding area. He actually said he don't want a real bulky one. Surprised me.
Any hold up better then the other.

He wants side padding as well. What about fit on theses. I read pe's run small. He wears a medium t shirt. Should he go up one or two sizes in all brands?

That NXE vest is what my field hands out to renters and I don't think it'd be very comfortable to use. A bounce vest is more what you're looking for. Think under armor with pads built into it.

I agree. But don't want it uncomfortable tight though.

padded vest = piece of mind but limits mobility
bounce vest = is designed to take hits and be mobile
really i just say wear layers, bounce vests and vests like the NXe one typically only protect to the shoulder, 2 or 3 long sleeve shirts and you can create the same effect but all the way down to the wrist. loose layers and they will catch paintballs before they hit you
