post your paintball arena or shop ideas.
so just out Boredom i was thinking about if i owned a paintball field and or a shop, then wondered what people would post. include indoor, outdoor, both, speed ball or woods ball etc. marker rentals, what markers, location, rules (optional, since we already know the standard rules which work) if you want to post a field picture you designed using a online field designer stuff like that. SKY'S THE LIMIT. Example: I'd choose to locate near a mall so it would get pretty good exposure and people would see it and explore the world of paintball. it would probably be a speed ball set up, indoors, with astro turf flooring, because where i live its wet 3/4th the year, with blowup bunkers. i would include different classes of markers for different costs that people can afford. for an example, class C would be tippmann 98 or something similar and a co2 tank and gravity hopper $10 for rental. class B next would be like a spyder victor, rental would be like $15-$20, then the class A would be like a smart parts Ion, and you would choose to upgrade to a feeding hopper for $5 more. and a hpa tank and that rental would be $35 or something, all rentals plus $5-$8 to pay for field use. just throwing that out off the top of my head, of course if i were to open a field i would do WAAAAAY more research but you get the point.

We are looking at buying a parcel of land roughly 100acres to move onto, want to include a paintball area, camping, a "clubhouse", mini golf etc....
Obviously a Woodsball field, if there is room, also an outdoor speedball field, I was thinking of Hammer 7's, and cross-over's as well as the trusty 98's for rentals - no Co2, just HPA. I would build a multi-level fort/castle, a few other out buildings, and the usual bunkers for the main field. I would hold a Pump Series on the speedball field.
Pricing?
Sell Memberships for $100/yr, this would give you discounted entry and paint - and free entry/food for a Member Appreciation Day once a month
Field fee's would be $20 including all day air, free hotdogs
Paint would be priced at comparable fields - just a little cheaper
Rentals
Pump Package - $30 including 100 balls
98's - $30 including 100 balls
Crossover - $45 including 500 balls
Masks/Coveralls included in pricing
One can dream lol

100 bucks a year? daymn. although i guess the catch is "discounted" entry.
free hotdogs is a nice touch, but i could eat more than 20 bucks in hotdogs easy.

where i am from it would have to be indoor/outdoor to stay in business
$20 - field fee/air
id try to get my hands on a bunch of VS1s for rentals but assuming that would not happen
BT slice and/or spyder victor
$30 - field fee + rental
best fields i know of also have a pro shop with them and, as much as i would hate it, milsim gear.
although honestly my dream is not to own a field but design markers, fabricate mill etc give me some metal to work with

One field I play at is $200/yr $30 off a case each visit, cheaper entry etc...pays off. $100 membership would pay itself off in three visits, plus the free day of play each month

$30 off a case would pay off but $100 a year and then still having to pay entry, even at a discount? maybe if entry was normally $30 and then you only pay $10 that would work out

That's basically what it works out to, plus the Big Games, Members are entered into draws for swag each month, and you get a discount at the proshop, Membership has it's privileges.

o ok, that makes more sense. i was thinking it would basically break even for a year if you were not there every single week so then what was the point in being a member.
personally i think its fine to offer memberships but i was at one field in particular that required it. i played there 2 times as it was a 4 hour drive but the first time cost me over $100 getting in the door.
membership + field fee + paint + air punch card (dumbest idea ever)

I think the field I normally go to has memberships for right around $150/year. They offer the premium paint for $20 off, and $10 off for the lower end stuff. The membership also includes free entry, and up to 10 other entries +rental gear on your birthday every year.
I don't get these though, as their military discount is pretty much the same thing, without the birthday thing.

Ok well this is a little bit different but one pf the fields i go to has a pass/membership for $350 free admin, free air, $15 field paint, 30 tourney paint and a certain amount off of rentals
They also have a team membership so teams that practice their get 30 field paint, half off admin, half off air, and $45 tourney paint

gosh i wish there was a good field around me, i was living in king county and they basically passed ordinances that made the cost of running a field too high for anyone (requiring the fields to be 20 acres minimum and require full netting around the outside AND over the top or 50 acres and just around the outside)
now im in ellensburg where the nearest field is a 45 min drive and really not all that great (run by a pretty good guy though)

i think that if i owned a field i would do like special things on Fridays or Saturdays and have like black light paintballing with like strobe lights and black lights or something and like party music and if people wanted they could request songs to play or something. like some zeppelin or whatever haha

no, because these seem to work pretty well in an indoor environment as well.
